Not one, not two, but three prizes! DHL Parcel takes silver at the prestigious Dutch Interactive Awards (DIA) in the corporate category, and wins no less than two gold Drupal Splash Awards. Our new website is now one of the best interactive works in the Netherlands. And we are extremely proud of that.
Service + design = price
Sending a package should not be difficult, we think. Our website is designed to make every shipment as simple as possible. But with only an optimal user experience you will not get there. The eye also wants something, as the DIA jury also concluded: 'Sec viewed, this is a service environment, but very well executed. DHL has made it very easy to send packages. Customer-oriented and appealingly designed, in a market where competition is fierce.'
Private and business smoothly united
In collaboration with creative agency One Shoe, we built a new digital landscape in eight months last year. The focus? User experience design, visual design, back-end and front-end. As the number one logistics service provider, we have both business and private customers, and both senders are equally important to us. Our ambition to develop one website for a combined target group has more than succeeded with recognition in the form of three awards.
Drupal 8: an award-winning platform
We had our site built on Drupal 8, a powerful open source platform that many A-brands use. The Drupal Splash Awards distinguishes the best digital work, in which dhlparcel.nl played a major role this year. In addition to a gold award in the corporate category, we also won the title 'Drupal website for the year 2019'. We can only confirm the jury's comments: 'A wonderful business case. Simple at first glance, but appearances are deceiving: this website delivers. Literally and figuratively!'
