DHL opens store in city centre of The Hague

DHL has opened its second exclusive store at Noordeinde 94 in The Hague. The official opening took place today in the presence of neighbouring shopkeepers, gallery owners and Boudewijn Revis, alderman for the city centre of the municipality of The Hague.

In the so-called Shipping Spot, individuals, companies and retailers can go during weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00 for their parcel shipments and personal shipping advice. On Saturdays this is possible until 18:00. Dhl already has Parcelshops in more than 1,500 other places in the country, housed at other stores. The noordeinde store follows the successful launch of the first exclusive DHL store on the van Baerlestraat in the Museumbuurt of Amsterdam.

In the DHL Shipping Spot, packages and documents can be sent, both internationally and nationally and in terms of speed both standard and by express. Returns can also be offered as a result of online purchases and the store can serve as a pick-up point for shipments. In addition, specialists give advice on customs obligations and packaging materials are available. Finally, DHL offers gadgets around its own brand.

Shop manager Jaap Langelaar says about his new store: "We are here between the galleries, shops, close to embassies, ministries and near Noordeinde Palace, but also between the companies; in other words, in an international community of tourists and businessmen, expats, diplomats and of course the people of The Hague themselves. That is the world in which DHL is a connecting factor and where we want to be present for our customers."
