Further expansion of DHL's electric fleet

DHL eCommerce has added 500 Toyota's Proace Electric to its fleet. This brings the total number of DHL electric vehicles in the Netherlands to 1400, making DHL the largest electric fleet.  The official transfer took place in Dordrecht where DHL is building its nineteenth, also completely sustainable, sorting centre for parcels.

Wouter van Benten, CEO DHL eCommerce Benelux met Jan Christiaan Koenders, Managing Director Louwman & Parqui (Toyota Netherlands) in Dordrecht. Wouter van Benten: "This addition of 500 electric vans fits in with our policy where we reduce maximum CO2 and fully compensate the remainder. In 2025, our entire fleet will be equipped for electric delivery in Dutch neighbourhoods."

This investment is part of an extensive program of 350 million euros that will be invested in electrification of the fleet, sustainable construction of sorting centers and 26 new CityHubs.
