DHL wins two European internet awards

DHL has won two prestigious European internet awards, the so-called Lovie Awards. These 'Oscars of the European Web' are awarded annually to the best and most creative digital work in Europe. The parcel division received them for the new shipping application My DHL Portal. In the category websites, both a prize for best web application and best navigation were won. The shipping application was developed in the Netherlands and is currently being rolled out.

Lovie Awards underline and appreciate the high level of development of the European internet industry. The Lovie Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). The jury includes actor Stephen Fry, Robin Chase (founder of Buzzcar), Alexander Ljung, founder and CEO of Soundcloud and Corinne Vigreux, co-founder of TomTom. The award ceremony will take place in London in November.

With My DHL Portal, DHL customers can send, manage and track their shipments. In addition, this online shipping tool has an integrated return process. My DHL Portal is suitable for use via desktop, tablet and mobile phone. The new tool, developed entirely by DHL, strives for the best user experience for customers. "By using the feedback button in the tool, customers can contribute to this themselves," explains DHL's proud marketing technology manager Jan de Groot.
