DHL eCommerce commissions electric Goupil

DHL eCommerce is further expanding its sustainable fleet with the Goupil, a French-made electric car specifically for inner-city distribution. In the first phase, the Goupil will be deployed in the center of Rotterdam and Utrecht. Due to its compact size and manoeuvrability, the car easily finds its way there. In addition to the Goupils, DHL operates more than 300 other electric vehicles, including a self-produced van and dozens of cargo bikes such as the Cubicycle and the Parcycle. Both Rotterdam and Utrecht have a clear ambition when it comes to emission-free transport and DHL is happy to respond to that.

About the Goupil
DHL starts using the Goupil type 4. The length is 217 cm, the width 126 cm and the height 113 cm. The trunk opens on three sides; the side doors slide open and the back rolls up. Packages are easy to take away at hip height and with three cubic meters, more than a hundred can easily fit in. The range is sufficient for an entire delivery day and the maximum speed is 50 km/h. Perfect for delivering parcels in the city centre. DHL delivery drivers cite the glass cabin with good visibility as the most striking feature. The Goupil has two seats, heated seats, and shifts automatically.
